As a break from the deadly and serious, here are a few threats that may bring a smile and no damage whatsoever to anything other than the English language. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the bad-breakup crowd:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"625\" height=\"189\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.grammarianinthecity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/boy-friends.jpg?resize=625%2C189\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-193\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For want of an apostrophe, a <em>boy friend<\/em> was lost. Well, turned <em>into cash<\/em>, which I&#8217;m pretty sure is illegal, no matter how toxic the relationship was. Side point: How do you <em>turn<\/em> <em>cash<\/em> into <em>ca$h<\/em> other than typographically? And why would you want to?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although unemployment has risen sharply, I&#8217;m hoping no one is desperate enough to apply for this job:  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"240\" height=\"260\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.grammarianinthecity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/P1020088.jpg?resize=240%2C260\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1015\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Grilled man<\/em>?
